Freddy.StreetJ is a late-blooming songwriter blending bilingual storytelling with melody, chords, and lyrics
and a deep love for Puerto Rican culture.
After a long career in medicine and cancer genetics,
he turned to music in 2024, creating songs that reflect memory, identity, and heritage.
Collaborating with Grammy-nominated producer
Deyder Cintrón (Phoenix Skyes), he brings heartfelt stories to life through a rich mix of genres and sounds.
All compositions initially start on a vintage upright piano using a pen and staff paper and then move to the home studio. Freddy was a preteen, only a few years younger than Janis Ian, when he first heard 'Society Child' when sneaking into his older sister's room. He carried the cathexis of this memory of 'how did she do that?' for a lifetime. And still asks himself that question.
